The City of Rancho Palos Verdes has obtained a grant in the amount of $300,000 from the County of Los Angeles and has approved the expenditure of an additional $145,000 in City funds to restore the Sunnyside Ridge Trail that connects equestrians on the east side of the Hill with the trail network in Rolling Hills Estates and Rancho Palos Verdes. The City has hired a consultant to assist in the design of the trail and other features of the site, such as a bridge traversing a deep culvert in Greenwood Canyon.
UPDATE: Construction has been completed (photos below), however the planter boxes placed along the trail have narrowed it even more so. PVPHA members are currently working with the City on having the planter boxes removed.
